Final Poster Designs

The first pictures are the original pictures which we took of the iconic toilet seat scene. We then used photoshop to experiment on different designs, we tried a spiral effect to represent the toilet flushing, but it didnt turn out as effective as we wanted, so we chose not to use that idea. We then used the eye on one of the tiles in the toilet, this was to represent the eye in the title of our film, but again this didnt work to plan, so we stuck with a simple design which was more effective and aesthetic.

These are two ideas of our final poster idea, on the left, is Alistairs design, created in photoshop. We created this by using the main image of the actor on the toilet. Then we added quotations and the title of the film to give it the film poster effect. The addition of the "REC" in the top right corner is to give the impression its a camera. The camera is the third eye, where our film title comes from.

On the right, we thought adding both original designs together would be more effective and because we couldnt work out which one to use. The red background represents danger and the addition of text finishes it off nicely.

The final poster design is all we wanted when planning and designing our individual ideas. As a group we all had really good ideas and thought it was too hard to just simply select a design and make it, so we chose an aspect from each design and made it into one, this was because when working in a team you all have different ideas and someone might have something to add to make it that much better and we feel our poster reflects good team work and ideas. The colours stand out but also are a perception of the genre of the film, red and black both represent blood and danger. The comic strip of the actors/actresses allows the audience to see whose starring in the film, so instead of just simply writing the names, we wanted to have an image so the actors and actresses had more of a expressive role.
