Poster's and Website Research.

The Blair Withch Project's website has a basic layout for a website, in which it is user friendly. The white text stands out on the black background which makes it aesthetic. Its nice and simple, with the home page using only 4 key parts,(Mythology, the film makers, the aftermath and the legacy). The website is consistant and easy to use throughout.

Conventions of a Comedy/Horror

The Institution

Action Plan and Questionnaire

Action Plan

I have had a group discussion with both Tom O' Malley and Alistair Mitchell in order to plan what actions will be taken in order to successfully complete our media coursework.

We have chosen to make a horror-comedy film trailer. The name of the film is The Third Eye, this is due to the fact that all the film is done by people holding video cameras and so you are watching the film as the third eye, being the hand held video camera. An added extra of recording the film in this way is that we can make it more realistic, as if we were recording with normal camera angles etc, it would not be recorded as well, as we do not specialize in video recording, plus we do not have the right equipment for the job. Our target audience is between the ages of 15 - 30.

Questionnaire

This is our questionnaire, we asked questions specific to our genre.
Our response was mixed, but all in all positive.
We knew that our target audience was going to between 15 and 30.
We found out what most people enjoyed about comedy horrors which we will try and reflect in our final trailer.

The Plot

Final Plot designs

These pictures are my groups ideas of what to do in our trailer. We drew images to work out what order we would do each scene when it came to filming. The plot sheet was set out, so we could give a description of each clip, if there is dialogue or a voiceover in the clip, what size the shot is, the camera movement, the camera angle, lighting, setting, props used, costume, music, sound FX and the time each clip will last for.

This is the end of our plot. Scenes 9-12.

This is scenes 5-8.

This is the start of the plot, scenes 1-4.
