This is our finished product. We managed to follow our specification as much as we could. The only changes we made was when we recieved feedback or when discussing it within the group, this was in order to match the target audiences needs and to make it as good as we possibly could. We have worked tirelessly and we are very proud of it. Myself, Alistair and Tom would like to thank everyone who acted in our trailer and for all the feedback we recieved.

Edited Images

This was an enjoyable part to make, its right at the end of the trailer so we wanted to give a lasting memory for the audience to endure. The clip is in negative to give a modern and scary effect. We speeded the gates up and found a creaking noise which we added because we thought it was iconic and would add to the scary atmosphere. We also added a laugh to make the audience remember its a horror, then added a coughing noice, which represents the comedy. The closing of the gates represents the end of the trailer and the no way out feeling for the contestants.

This was a comical clip, and we added a bubbly jingle in the background to make it effective and it makes the audience happy. We used the lense perspective on this clip to gove the impression of it being recorded, representing the third eye. In this scene we dont change much because it is a reflection of the characters personality. The addition of the text introduces the character to the audience.

In this clip, we changed the colour to make it more creepy. the dark green colour represents gore and horror. We also added a laugh, because it gives the contestant the impression she is being watched, even in a private enclosed space seen above. The eery music represents the build up in tension.

This scene was at the beginning of the trailer. We used a slow motion effect to build up tension which would draw the attention of the audience, also added text and a voiceover made it more realistic and scary. We changed the setting on the camera to night vision which represented the genre more than the original, which was light and didnt give the required effect.

In this clip we again turned the image to negative to give the gore and horror effect once more, the shadow was done by an actor and lights that reflected off the house, so no effect was used here just good camera work, as you will see from the trailer on the house scene there is text, we used the cracked text to represent fear, this was because of the genre we chose. The voiceover was a scary deep voice which was done using garage band on the iMac.
We used the lense perspective effect again, and the idea of the transition mosaic, blended in very well with the chess board clip because of the shapes used. We changed a few things with the actress, we sped up the movement, to reflect her "crazy" personality.
This image is the comical part at the start of the trailer. We added the ripples to blend in with the sound of the toilet flushing, which worked nicely in order to move onto the next scene in the trailer.
Images and trailer before editing.

These images and the trailer seen above, are the originals, before any editing was performed. We used different techniques, like speeding up and slowing down, also we used voiceovers to make certain parts more effective. We added different music found on iMovie and could change the times of how the the music played and where we wanted it to play. We used different sound effects for example, a baseball hit, the ripple on the toilet scene and the noise used for the closing of the gates.
Picture one - The toilet which sets the scene.
Picture one - The toilet which sets the scene.
Picture two - The comical picture of the actor on the toilet seat represents the genre.
Picture three - Hannah our actress, we used a diary room effect to represents her personality
Picture four - The chess scene, which represents her crazy personality by "even chess can drive you crazy."
Picture five - The gate scene which represents the end of the trailer.
Picture six - Jade in the shower represent her "tarty" personality and makes the audience think what will happen to her.
Final Website Design

This is the house which we smudged and put on the bottom left of our design.
This was the actor we used, we made his face darker a bigger and added red tints to his eyes to make him seen scary and mischievous.
This is the camera we used in filming, we cropped the actors eye and moved it onto the screen to give the third eye effect.
This is our final website design. This was created on photoshop. We used a black and red background and theme, to keep it the same throughout. Then we got photos of one of the actors and the house which both are seen in our trailer. We then cropped the eye and placed it in the preview screen on the camera we used for filming to create the idea of "The Third Eye." When editing the house we used the "smudge" button on photoshop, this gives a horror effect. We then used shapes to create links for the website.
Final Poster Designs

The first pictures are the original pictures which we took of the iconic toilet seat scene. We then used photoshop to experiment on different designs, we tried a spiral effect to represent the toilet flushing, but it didnt turn out as effective as we wanted, so we chose not to use that idea. We then used the eye on one of the tiles in the toilet, this was to represent the eye in the title of our film, but again this didnt work to plan, so we stuck with a simple design which was more effective and aesthetic.
These are two ideas of our final poster idea, on the left, is Alistairs design, created in photoshop. We created this by using the main image of the actor on the toilet. Then we added quotations and the title of the film to give it the film poster effect. The addition of the "REC" in the top right corner is to give the impression its a camera. The camera is the third eye, where our film title comes from.
On the right, we thought adding both original designs together would be more effective and because we couldnt work out which one to use. The red background represents danger and the addition of text finishes it off nicely.
The final poster design is all we wanted when planning and designing our individual ideas. As a group we all had really good ideas and thought it was too hard to just simply select a design and make it, so we chose an aspect from each design and made it into one, this was because when working in a team you all have different ideas and someone might have something to add to make it that much better and we feel our poster reflects good team work and ideas. The colours stand out but also are a perception of the genre of the film, red and black both represent blood and danger. The comic strip of the actors/actresses allows the audience to see whose starring in the film, so instead of just simply writing the names, we wanted to have an image so the actors and actresses had more of a expressive role.

Poster Designs
This poster was designed by Alistair Mitchell. The main image is significant because it is in the opening clip of the trailer, which shows the comical side to our trailer. The idea of the black background is seen as a lense on the camera, with the record button in the top corner is again another reason that emphasises this point. The title is in bold letters as it is the main text on the poster, which needs to stand out. The 15 sign indicates the film is aimed at people between 15-30.
This design was by Tom O'Malley. He used the title of the film to reflect on his poster. His idea of the camera in the fence is showing that the camera can see things that the the naked eye cant which again backs up our idea of the film title. The comic strip at the bottom of the poster was significant because it allows the cast to be shown off, so the target audience knows whos in the film. The main image is the film title this is advertising the film well and is very clear and bold.Website Design

This website design was done by myself. The simple design mixed with bright colours can interest our target audience. Each link down the side would lead to another page and the eye in the top left corner would bring you to the homepage, this would be constant throughout the website. The main image of the spooky house shows the horror side to our trailer. The idea to put the trailer on the homepage would intrege the audience to want to see what happens in the film.
The website design was done by Alistair Mitchell, the mysterious look of the design was the idea he was going for to attract the audience. It doesnt give too much about the film off. The hand held camera is the main image which is the third aspect of the eye in the trailer, and it reflects the importance of the camera in the film. The use of the colour red emphasises danger and death which is reflected to the one survivor idea in the trailer. The main images of the man's face and the spooky house again emphasis horror in a simple but affective way. Each link can be found on the back of the camera and the trailer on the pull out screen.
This is Tom's website design. His ideas were that when you clicked on the eye the trailer would start playing, the use of the eye reflects the film title, so there is a theme throughout the poster, website design and the final trailer. The split screen effect makes it easy to use and each link is set out clearly and again is easy to use. The images of the house and actors allows for the trailer to be reflected in the website, so the audience get a glimpse of the final design.
